How to choose
- Type. a ceiling light gives general light, table and floor lamps give task light for reading and desks
- Colour temperature. 2700–3000 K is warm and cosy, 4000 K neutral for work; smart lights can change tone
- Smart control. ZigBee needs a hub, Wi-Fi works straight through the router, Matter links devices from different brands
