Description
A Cat 6 patch cable is made for a fast local network: the category has tighter requirements than older cables, leaving more headroom for gigabit links. Use it to connect a computer, router, switch, NAS, TV or games console.
Unshielded (U/UTP) cable is thin and flexible — the most practical choice in an ordinary home or office without strong electrical interference. The conductors are pure copper (CU): the signal stays stable over long runs and the cable suits PoE-powered devices such as IP cameras and Wi-Fi access points. The LSZH jacket is halogen-free and gives off little smoke if it burns, which is why it is preferred in offices, schools and other public buildings. “Fluke Passed” means the manufacturer has verified the cable with a Fluke tester.
