Lanberg Cat 6A S/FTP LSZH CCA patch cable, 10 m, black

A Cat 6A patch cable is rated for ten-gigabit Ethernet as well. It is a good choice for server rooms and network cabinets or for hooking up a fast NAS or workstation — the cable will not become the bottleneck when the network gear is later upgraded.

In S/FTP cable each pair has its own foil and the whole cable has an overall braid, giving good protection from interference even in dense cabling or near electrical equipment. The conductors are copper-clad aluminium (CCA): cheaper and lighter than pure copper but with higher resistance, so on long PoE runs it falls behind solid copper. For short links and ordinary data it does the job. The LSZH jacket is halogen-free and gives off little smoke if it burns, which is why it is preferred in offices, schools and other public buildings. “Fluke Passed” means the manufacturer has verified the cable with a Fluke tester.
