Lanberg Cat 5e CCA network cable, 305 m reel, grey

Installation cable on a reel is for building a permanent network: it runs inside walls, above ceilings or in trunking and is terminated at a wall outlet, keystone module or patch panel, so a house or office can be cabled with exactly the lengths needed.

The conductors are copper-clad aluminium (CCA): cheaper and lighter than pure copper but with higher resistance, so on long PoE runs it falls behind solid copper. For short links and ordinary data it does the job. “Fluke Passed” means the manufacturer has verified the cable with a Fluke tester. Solid-core conductors are intended for fixed installation, where the cable is not moved once laid.
