What a video bar mount and an AV shelf are
A video bar combines a camera, microphones and a speaker in one housing and has become the usual way to run video calls in meeting rooms. The mount places it above or below the screen so the camera looks straight into the room. Shelf kits add room on the same stand for a camera, keyboard or laptop.
How to choose
- Stand compatibility. These kits are made for one manufacturer's stands and carts — the description names the series the add-on fits.
- Load rating. Video bar mounts carry up to 10 kg, keyboard and laptop shelves 2.5 kg — enough for a typical video bar and laptop.
- Height. A height-adjustable kit lets you set the camera at the eye level of seated people.
- Wall shelf. Without a stand, a wall-mounted AV shelf keeps a media player or video-conferencing unit next to the TV.
